Wet-Hopped Ale
Each fall, our brewhouse looks more like a greenhouse as thousands of pounds of wet hop cones arrive within hours of being picked by some of our favorite local hop growers. Acting quickly, we then load up these wet hops into what will become Harvest Ale – an impossibly aromatic and bright IPA bursting with fresh pine, melon and citrus notes. Our ode to the beauty that is the wet, American hop.

Reviewed from notes. Consumed fresh during its seasonal release.
The appearance had a beautiful light golden yellow colored body that gives a nice one finger white foamy head that lasts for a good minute before gently dieing into the body. Some nice spotty spiderweb lacing appears around the sides of the pint glass.
The smell had a sweet citric fruit up front backed up nicely by some piney hops.
The taste takes these flavors and combine a wet/fresh taste.
On the palate, it sat at/about a medium on the palate with nothing sharp on the tongue, very sessionable.
Overall, once again, another Founders beer that impressed me.

The best made wet hop ale out there. A hop head’s dream, this beer is exactly what an IPA should be. Piney and grapefruity, chewy resiny hops without it being annoying or too over the top. Delicious.
