Kasteel Hoppy is a blonde speciality beer that fits perfectly into the wave of IPA beers (Indian Pale Ale). Thanks to the addition of herbs and the mildly malty character, the youngest member of the Kasteel range is not a ‘hop bomb’. Kasteel Hoppy is a full-bodied blonde beer predominated by the aromas of hops. However, the bitter taste does not dominate.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 34B: 25A/21A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch KAH01204A (BBF 12-2020). AROMA: medium malty aroma with low background phenolic yeast notes (clove-like). low background oxidized hops (dried grass). APPEARANCE: gold color and translucent. high creamy, white head with good retention. lace formation. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-low malty character (grainy and slight honey-like), followed by medium-low to low esters (pear drop) and clove phenolics. faint oxidized hop background (dried grass). medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: an attempt at an Belgian IPA but with poor hop presence.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a lacing, white head. Vague, fruity nose. Medium body, a clean, dry fruitiness with a dry finish. Subtle bitterness. A well composed and executed pale ale - but 'hoppy'? Not really! 021019

Creamy white head left a frothbon a copper coloured still body. Hoppy aroma with pith. Medium bodied, well carbonated &clean on the back. Zesty tastes of citrus, herbs, pine & vegatal.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een goudgeel bier met een wit schuim. Het heeft een hoppige geur. De smaak is fruitig en hoppig.

Dorada nebulosa, espuma cremosa duradera. Buen aspecto. Aroma ligeramente lupulado, notas lácteas, que se acentúan en boca. Innegable carácter de ale belga. Equilibrada, ligeramente ácida, levadura presente, con toques lupulados. Tono amargo y lácteo.
