Added in 2013 to the Port Brewing year-round lineup, Board Meeting is an amplified Brown Ale, brewed with liberal additions of coffee from local San Diego roasters, Ryan Brothers and cocoa nibs sourced from famed San Francisco chocolate maker TCHO. Deep coffee flavor gives way to layers of bitter dark chocolate and a creamy vanilla body.

5 October 2019. At Amabieris Tasting. Cheers to Ama Deke & Ghent beer crew! Hazy dark brown with a slowly thinning, unstable, frothy, tan head. Aroma of mocha, cream, Werther's Original, raisin, cookie dough, pistachio. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, brown bread, caramel, nuts & cream; softly bitter with coffee nibs, toasty edge, some low dark fruitiness. Dry, toasty, earthy hoppy finish, lots of mocha & nuts, faintly warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Solid Brown Ale, straightforward but full.

This beer is pretty much as labeled and described. The Aromas are roast, cocoa, coffee and dark malt. Flavors are like Nose, sweet up front and then going a little more bitter than sweet in to the Finish which is of good length. No off qualities at all. Good body and carbonation. Gets a little boozy in The Finish. Nice beer.

Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is opaque black with faint sparkle at edges of the glass, 1.5-finger width creamy foam light brown head with fair retention and light soapy lacing. Aroma is roasted malts and coffee along with cocoa and earth that all blend into one another. Taste is cocoa, roasted malt, dark fruit, coffee, late earthy bitter--seems almost like it's barrel aged, even though it's not. Palate is medium bodied with silky smooth texture, soft carbonation, mild alcohol, and bittersweet finish as taste with late hint of anise. Overall, this isn't a total sinfully decadent treat but it is nicely sweet and rich with a nice bitter balance. Very, very nice.

Crowler from Growler Guys. Aroma is dark bread, toasted marshmallow, coffee, caramel, licorice, chocolate. Looks black, but it's probably just really dark brown. Has a thick tan head with excellent retention and lace. Taste is mildly to moderately sweet; finishes with a faint herbal hop bitterness. Nice beer.

On tap at Brewdog Brighton. Black beer lasting tan head. Coffee coffee coffee on aroma. Good coffee aroma. Amazing coffee in mouth smooth and juicy like drinking cold coffee liqueur. Lovely. For some reason it was decanted which list some of the carbonation . But still the coffee was impressive and we'll integrated.
