Brewed for the early risers, who sacrifice sleep and warmth for a the first meeting of the day aboard a wave to shore.
Added in 2013 to the Port Brewing year-round lineup, Board Meeting is an amplified Brown Ale, brewed with liberal additions of coffee from local San Diego roasters, Ryan Brothers and cocoa nibs sourced from famed San Francisco chocolate maker TCHO. Deep coffee flavor gives way to layers of bitter dark chocolate and a creamy vanilla body.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas shared by Enniskillen. Nose is chocolate, coffee, and more coffee mixed with hints of roast and vanilla. Opaque brown with a big, lightly lacing, long lasting, tan head. Flavor is heavy with lightly bitter chocolate and lightly sweet caramel complementing the roasty coffee.

Pours deep mahogany into an English pint. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to coat surface. Dark caramel and chocolate aromas. Dry with sweet milk chocolate and coffee front to back. Lasting bitter espresso finish.

Pours a very dark brown. Opaque. Looks black in a full glass. Big head of light brown foam. A thick blanket of fine bubbles. Good looking beer. The aroma is all coffee and chocolate. Some roast and a bit of caramel in the background. It smells like a mocha made with dark chocolate milk. Mild cola, a little molasses and some light floral hoppiness. It sort of has that nutty brown ale flavor, but I would have guessed stout if I’d been handed this beer blind. The taste has lots of toasty malt below rich coffee and chocolate. The taste seems closer to a strong brown ale than a stout, but the coffee and chocolate additions mask that somewhat. It’s fairly sweet. Very rich with flavor. There’s just a ton of chocolate and coffee to the beer. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy and does wonders for the beer. Good nutty, coffee finish. Excellent addition to Port’s lineup.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours extremely dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is dank chocolate and coffee. (I’m not really sure what that means) Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate and very strong coffee. My tongue is burning with hops. It’s extremely flavorful. And very hard to dissect flavor wise. It’s finishing very harshly strong coffee with chocolate support. LHM Cause Port Brewing won’t. Good to see PB putting a really strong flavored new ale into wide distribution.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City. Amazing aroma jumps out of the glass - complex mix of chocolate, fresh NW hops and biscuit. Deep brown with full brown head. Flavor is rich, full with aggressive hops, coffee, chocolate and solid malt backbone. Great beer!

On tap at Urban Family Public House, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, chocolate and powdery cocoa. Flavour is dominated by dry powdery cocoa, dark chocolate malts, some faint dark fruits and some caramel malts. Full-bodied and full-flavoured, dominating by the chocolate / cocoa. Great stuff.

Draft at Churchkey for CBC. Poured a dark brown color with a pretty tan head. Aroma was some light chocolates with plenty or roasted malts and a touch of coffee notes. Bitter chocolates throughout the mouth when this was tasted - plenty of bitter notes, roasted malts. Actually pretty refreshing for 8.5%.
