Bottle, 7.5%. Good creamy aroma. Dark brown colour, seems a little hazy. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is also creamy, but seems a little dry. Hint of vinous aftertaste.

30 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a nice, dense and light brown head. Solid roasted malt aroma with a yeast and alcohol bite in the nose. Sweet malt flavoured with a distinct dry phenolic touch on the back of the nose. Nicely counterbalanced with a solid hops note and lasting bitterness to break the dense malt flavours.

Bottled (ABV 7%, thanks jbrus!). Dark rubyish brown colour with big creamy/fluffy off-white head. Aroma is dark fruits, some slight roasted notes as well as a minor touch of metallicness. Flavour is toffee, roasted malts, mildly smoked wet wood, plum, some spices as well as some sllight burning alcohol. As it warms also the toffeeishness as well as dark fruits start showing up. Sadly the same with the metallic notes. Still a rather balanced and quite nice beer while cold.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a creamy off white to beige head. The aroma is dark fruit and roasted malts. Taste is roasted malt and more fruit, there is a nice alcohol burn that makes my palate come alive. Finish is sticky and dry.

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Clear dark ruby color, small beige head. Strong ryebread malty aroma, also some molasses. Sweet syrapy palate. Candy sugar, dark bread, raisins and hints of licorice. As usual with Dutch beers, very sweet, but in this brew sweetness is quite pleasant. Finish has some alcohol and roasted malts. Ryeish-roasted-sweetish doppelbock. Another above average beer from Texels.

Bottle: Cloudy, floaties visible, ruby-amber coloured, small tanned head; moderate citrousy-fruity (peaches) nose, combined with some caramel; moderate sweet-tart flavour, medium bodied; bitter-tart notes in the moderately sweet-dark-malty finish. Not bad, but quite tame.........
