Black in colour with a creamy tan head and delicious roasted caramel and chocolate flavours. It's hearty, robust and everything a good stout should be.

This beer is a quite average scoring stout, however it missed some body to me.

4/16/2010 Pours a dark brown with deep garnet highlights and a good sized tan head that dissipates slowly and throws some lace. Smells of coffee and chocolate and molasses and dark dried fruits. Taste is very roasty with hints of chocolate, figs, molasses, dark fruit, and an annoying mineral or metallic flavor that while not overwhelming distracts me a bit. Creamy grainy mouthfeel, medium to thick body, moderate level of carbonation. I almost enjoyed this one, well I did drink it all. The mineral flavor kinda killed this one for me. These just became available in NH and this bottle is a year old.

12.7 oz bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with light brown small head. Some spotty lacing. Very stouty aroma with notes of coffee and chocolate. Roasted malt and dark fruits in flavor. Acidy and bitter on palate, well balanced. Finish is dry hoppy that just keeps flowing on the palate. A nice stout.

11th and M liquor Store, DC six-pack ($12): Pours a really dark brown with a brown head. Transparent a little bit with the large chunks of sediment seen floating about. Aroma is of burnt malts, bitter espresso, and a pinch of hops. Taste really gets the burnt and smoky notes going, complied with the moderate hop presence. Surprisingly not really sweet at all. Pretty drinkable, though not exemplary.

From a wine shop in Hua Hin Thailand (yes, I know how crazy that sounds!) Very dark stout. Great taste :-)

bottle - Pours black with a tan head and a rich roast malt aroma. The flavor continues with the big dark roast malt. There’s also some bitter coffee and chocolate in there. It’s medium to full bodied and robust. Solid stout.

Bottle. Pours black with a tan head that disappeared quickly. Quite heavy aroma of roasted malt, hops also with some with sour elements. The taste was ok. Bitter with roasted malt, licorice and chocolate. A lot of carbonation, the finish was dry. One complaint is that the beer was rather thin.

375ml bottle from Systembolaget. Poured black color with a nice big tan head, nice lacing. Looking very tempting. Aroma is smoky and roasted malts. Flavor is roasted malts and coffee. Very dry aftertaste, oily texture. Sediments. Excellent stout, made me longing for another one.
