An orange amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a beautiful Brett and wheaty malt, beautiful and complex, like a field of grass. In mouth, a smooth grassy malt with Orval qualities, Brett, nice and balanced. Bottle at Montreal Winter Warm, Feb. 25 2012.

Sampled from 750ml bottle. Poured a medium amber color, with a white head. Aroma is slightly sour, like sour apples. Apricot notes, vanilla bean notes. Light and tasty.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dirty beige color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of tart and sour notes with light acidic notes is quite powerful. Taste is also a complex mix between some tart and sour notes with some light barnyard notes with a lightly acidic edge and some peppery yeast notes. Dry hops notes are also easily discernable. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Complex while still being drinkable – doesn’t quite meet my expectation but I might have been expecting quite a lot.

Bottle thanks to Dany. Pours orange. White head. Nose/taste of peach skin, orange rind, sweet and tart fruits, citrus and wet wood. Mild tartness. Vinous notes. Brett is definitely in the mix as well. Solid beer. Medium body.

Bottle shared by Dany at the post EBF tasting, thanks! Poured a clear gold with a slight ruby hue and a lasting white head that laced slightly. Aroma was tart with some light berries with a bit of acid and funk coming out. Flavor was nicely balanced with acid and funk with a really nice tart berry note that really balances the beer nicely.

Aroma of lambics and gueuze, wild yeasts all over the place, all perfectly defined. Body is foggy orange with a decent level of head on top. Flavour is gueuze with white wine notes; dry finish. It tastes as Belgian as the real thing; it’s my clear favourite find from Montreal’s winter warmer fest.
