When introspection fails, it’s time to look outward for inspiration, perhaps Northward! One of the people who inspired me this past year is my friend Gabe Fletcher, of Anchorage Brewing Co. We brewed this biére together. I hope it inspires you. Northward!
Cheers & Mahalo plenty!

Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins for $14. Pours a cloudy bright orange appearance with a really nice, creamy light brown head. A lot of funk, barnyard, brett, and spicy yeast in the nose. Really smells bright and delicious. Some tropical and citrus fruit notes in there as well. Medium body. Slightly tart, almost apple cider like flavor that is complemented by notes of papaya, pineapple, funk, vanilla, oak, white grape, and grapefruit. Quite well hopped with lots of citrusy hops. Maybe a touch of bubblegum in the mouth. A bit overly juicy. Finishes pretty dry, herbal, and tart with just a bit of chalkiness.. The body was a touch thin and the flavor was a touch underwhelming, but it was an otherwise delicious brew.

Bottle. Pours with a mostly clear golden hue with a foamy white head that lasts. Looks very nice, great lace. Funky, horsey, goaty brett, pineapple, tropical fruit, grapefruit, peppery phenols. Earthy, some sweet fruit notes, mild hop like character. Flavors are dry, medium bitter, grapefruit, funk, rustic, pepper, sweet fruit esters, lots of funk. Lively carbonation, dry, bright with moderate acidity. Tasty.

Very nice. Pours cloudy blonde with good head and lacing. Light, well integrated biretta with lots of citrus and some hay. Light sour finish with notes of astringency. Great balance, both on the beer and between the breweries it seems. Tap at Churchkey sours event.
