When introspection fails, it’s time to look outward for inspiration, perhaps Northward! One of the people who inspired me this past year is my friend Gabe Fletcher, of Anchorage Brewing Co. We brewed this biére together. I hope it inspires you. Northward!
Cheers & Mahalo plenty!

Bottle at Fermentoren, Aarhus. Aromas of grapefruit, slighty citrus, orange peel. Pretty tropical in general. Also some oak in there. Slightly pebberish notes. Taste is tart up front, grapefruit, slight citrus, pebber comes through in the end.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy dirty yellow color ale with a nice large foamy head. Aroma of tart notes with some herbal and piney notes. Taste is a nice mix of herbal notes with some sour notes with typical funky Jolly Pumpkins strain and a dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Bottle is a bit old but another wonderful creation from Jolly Pumpkins.

Bottle... that has sat in the fridge for a couple years. Pour is an orangish gold with a thin head. Aromas of funky horse blanket, some sour apple/apple cider vinegar, a touch of lemon... yum! Flavor starts out lovely and strong sour/funk, but sadly yields to a little bit of metallic with some peppercorn. Decent.

Thanks Matt! Hazy golden body. Nice spicy vs. malty aroma. Spicy taste, light sourness, dry. Clean and light all in all, well balanced. My notes are vague on this one but I remember liking it!

Bottle - hazy gold - nose of oak, white wine, pepper, pineapple, moderate funk, mild acetic acid - flavor is moderately tart, medium bitter - mild pepper - too heavy on the grapefruit, ending way to heavy on the grapefruit bitterness - a nice oak presence and and pleasantly dry and bitter finish, though - it’s still good, but dial down the grapefruit and it’s a home run.
