Bottle at home, from Ales By Mail, 16/11/13. Mid black with a fuck off tan head - this looks the bollocks! Nose is roast malts bolstered by a good hop splash, earthy, cocoa, jammy berry fruit, light mineral notes. Taste comprises earthy hops, chocolate biscuit, cocoa, light mineral, jammy fruits, light coffee strains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale with prominent roast and an underlying hop profile. A fantastic porter for the ABV - great work Pressure Drop!

Opaque dark brown - black beer with a good tan head. Palate is softish and a little dry. Fine minerally carbonation. Smooth dark malt, dry with touches of coffee and a whisper of dark chocolate. Light tang and light touch of dark fruits. Malty dry finish. If there is tea in here I can’t taste it. Nice porter, if a bit dry.

Bottle at Deans Birthday Tasting, August 2013. Poured a deep mahogany colour with a frothy tan head. The aroma is peaty and malt. The flavour is weak bitter with some roasted malt, coffee and chocolate on the slightly watery palate. The aroma was better than the taste.

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, creamy, half-lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, hints of coffee, burnt toast, nougat, tea flavour overtones. Taste is dry dark malty, minimally roasty, hints of black tea come close to minimally tart, soapy, astringent; smooth, soft palate.

Cask at LBA event. It pours near black with a bubbly beige head. The nose is rich roasted malt, coffee, earth, liquorice and black tea. The taste is roasted malt, earth, liquorice, burnt toast, black tea and moderate bitterness with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. The tea comes through pretty well. Rather flavoursome stuff!
