Bottled at Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pitch black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some whisky, mild toffee, some sherry elements with some wood too. Flavour is liquorice, some chocolate, mild vanilla, some wood, oak and mild alcohol sweetness to it. Silky smooth to drink.

330ml bottle [11.0% abv]. Opaque, black colour with small, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Peaty, smoky, and roasty, dark malty aroma, additional BA-induced peat flavours, notes of peat and leather, slightly disguised hints of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, treacle. Taste is sweet-ish, slightly roasty dark malty, peaty and caramel malty, notes of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, caramel, treacle, peat, hints of leather, a touch of vanilla. Relatively thin, not watery but by far not viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, very fine but efficacious carbonation. Balanced, round, harmonious after 8 years cellaring, dangerously drinkable - one from the good old days when De Molen just became famous for excellent Impy Stouts.

Tap @ Borefts 2012. Black and opague. Hefty medecinal peataroma with dark chocolate. Full bodied. Malty chocolate flavor with peaty notes. Well balanced mix of chocolate and peat.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, many thanks! Pours darkest brown without head. Aroma is tar and peat throughout, ice cold smoke, ash. Body is heavy and intense, peat galore, more cold smoke, low carbonation. Super sweet. Peaty as nothing else. Very good!

Bottle. Unclear dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is cold peat, chocolate. Taste is peat, chocolate, super peaty, not too complex, rather dry, salty, iodine. Oily mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Very awesome!

330ml bottle, many thanks to Kolshtrinker for this. Pours black, small tan head. Nice nutty sweet whisky notes on the nose. Taste has good whisky integration, not too overpowering with soft peat, caramel and dry bitterness, working well with the base beer to allow the strong dark Hemel & Aarde malt to shine as well. Excellent.

Many thanks to Kappldav123 for sharing!. Fantastic deep and sticky intense beginning. The whisky harmonises great with the dark intense beer. Smoked wood, fantastic deep in body, dark dries fruits, intense caramel and peated whisky. Very dry, moderate bitter in the aftertaste, fantastic intense. Long peated dry caramelly malty aftertaste, voluminous, intense, great!

Bottle looks very simple but really good. Beer in the glass deep black, almost no head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts intense malty and quite smokey. Notes of bacon, smoke, wood. Finish dusty-dry malty. Goes down warming. Awesome!

Full pour in the Hanging Bat, Edinburgh. I ordered it for the description of smoked beer, which is what I would call it rather than Imperial Stout. Nice smoke aroma, mild smoke in the flavor. heavy roasted malt flavor, and some whisky is noticeable in the flavor. Thick palate, some sugar under the smoke and dry malt flavors. Excellent beer.
