Sampled from bottle [from trade with KevinReddirt] shared with Caesar. Opaque black color, huge light brown / beige colored head. Aroma is malts, quite heavy bourbon. Taste malts, liquor, some raisinous notes. A bit messy but ok.

Vrij hevig op de bourbon, wat zoete maple syrup en koekjes. Beetje dun

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Black colour with compact beige head. Black colour with compact beige head. Too much carbonation. Some smell of green apples; mild chocolate flavour, strong bourbon barrel character, and also some fruit. The bourbon may be stronger than in Grandmammy.

12oz shared with Alex. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, some wood and bourbon. Some light green apples notes. Taste: along the same lines with a cream notes coming from the oak, moderately sweet, a bit overcarbonated. Overall: it maybe be a bit better than Grandmammy, but really I don't understand why would the brewery put the regula stout, not imperial, into a maple bourbon barrel. Nothing impressive.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out an enchanting bourbon barrels, cinnamon and raisins. Flavour is along the same lines, with cinnamon, raisins, and bourbon barrels. The barrels aren't as forward as the Grandmammy, but it's lovely indeed. Excellent.

On tap. Pours black with moderate foamy head. Aromas of woody . bourbon, dark caramel, vanilla and soft roasted malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on oaky bourbon plus some graham cracker. Not an overkill on the barrel though definitely bourbon forward. Very good.

Not overwhelmingly barrel. Malt raisin and maple in the aroma. Malt chocolate and raisin in the taste. Sweet finish
