Sour Ale Aged in Oak Barrels With Cherries and Vanilla Beans

This is NOT a kettle sour! This naturally conditioned, mixed-culture sour ale was aged for months with thousands of pounds of cherries. This bright, tart, and super fruity space juice is out-of-this-world tasty.

Can, lightly orange-pink beer with almost no head. Slight sour nose for sure, a bit vinegar like and not too powerful aroma. The flavor definitely has cherry components, super acidic, I'm afraid I don't really get vanilla but there's a hint of woodiness in there. To be honest it's not really my type of sour, too intensely acidic & lacking depth, but it's decent.

Teku showing strawberry red with a finger of quickly dissipating foam.

The nose shows intense notes of cinnamon, strawberry, and oak.

The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Highly tart but dry with a strawberry and cinnamon fruitforwardness. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cherry Supernova on 30 Aug 2021 at 12:08 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. bright red pink color. Excellent tart nose cherries and vanilla with a touch of oak in the nose. Very dry. The cherries and vanilla work very well together.
