We are excited to announce a new addition to our milk stout family: Nervous Energy! Featuring maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla, Nervous Energy aspires to emulate the character of classic french toast. It pours pitch black in the glass, and gives off strong aromas of maple, cinnamon, coffee, and whipped cream. The flavor follows suit, with all of the flavors in balance and nothing overwhelming the palate. It is pleasant and nostalgic, arousing memories of cool weekend mornings comforted by rich, carbohydrate heavy breakfasts. A beer fit for the season.

Can, from the brewery. Pours opaque dark brown with a large spongy chocolate-tan head, chocolate aroma, low carbonation, bitter chocolate-mocha taste, rum/bourbon and vanilla flavor, smooth thick body, long vanilla-chocolate finish. Very tasty and satisfying.

(poured 0,1l @ JBM (Brno)) Overall: Nice strong chocolate, vanilla and sweet. Aroma: Strong chocolate, vanilla. Appearance: Deep black. No head. Taste: Strong chocolate, vanilla, light alcohol spicy, maybe some cinnamon spicy (if you seek it), medium sweet, lactose. Palate: Medium-full body. Light astringent, light warm finish.

Bottle at share: pours black with beige head. Aroma is cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla. Sweet, not cloying, cinnamon. Quite nice.

Can (1/22/20) pour from the brewery. Appearance is opaque black with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width light brown creamy head with decent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is rich chocolate, coffee, lactose, roasted malt, cinnamon and vanilla. Taste follows the aroma but might be just a hare stronger. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with silky smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation, pleasant alcohol warmth and finish as taste. Overall, this is really strong all around. A wonderful treat!

Acquired a can in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom! Can date of 1-22-20.Aroma shows mild maple, easy cinnamon, coffee, and chocolate. The flavor is decadent and rich. The cinnamon helps cut through the sweetness. A little bit of chard coffee helps as well. Nice!

Canned, 473 ml, shared at Arrogant Sour tasting, courtesy of Werckmeister. Black with tan head. Chocolate, coffee, cocoa, roasty, medium sweetness, nice bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Black body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, coffee-colored head.
Aroma of coffee, cinnamon, lactose, dark chocolate, some soy sauce. Tastes similar.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes warm, medium sweet, moderate roasty, a bit milky, a bit spicy, with cocoa powder, coffee, some tobacco, slight soy sauce.

Tasty. Quite on the sweet side, with spicy and milky notes. The coffee adds more depth and balance. Very quaffable stuff, despite the alcohol. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16
