Strange label on this can; is that a view from the backside and she's turning her read to look behind? Whatever; strange. Big and black, look is large & in charge. Smells like a nice civilized mildly malty brew, with hints of a roasty nose. Taste is quite strong, the color of the beer and the nose is a deception. Yes, maybe some coffee and if we stretch it, perhaps some choco but fer sher there is much burnt attitude and maybe it even comes across like a mild balic or foreign stout. Yes, seem to have more alky kick than 6%, heheheh. Burnt roasty finish in the end on this one. At least it has some co2 in it clear to the end, makes the palate better than a nitro.

This beer is a dark brown color with a medium thick beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, malt and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of roasty malt, cocoa and mild coffee. The finish is sweet with a creamy milk chocolate and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Dark brown pour with a small and then it’s gone head of foam. I could blame it on the cold glass.

Smells mildly roasty with an also mild nose of chocolate.

Taste has both but again, very much on the mild side. Not much here to grab my attention or my palate.

Medium body and carbonation.

Okay. I drank it. Next.

Tasting flight at the brewery. Mahogany brown with a light beige head. Soft roasty chocolate that brings to mind a London Porter. Medium to light bodied and very dry. The taste is roasty chocolate with a dash of lactose. Best of the set but average.

12oz can. Deep brown-black body. Big, foamy, beige head. Some nice roastiness, but mostly over-the-top adjuncty chocolate syrup tones. The oatmeal certainly smooths it out. On the fuller side of medium bodied. Mild coffee backdrop. An OK dark beer, a little watery, thin with the malt depth though.

Sample from a can. Pours dark brown, with a small, tan head. The nose is strong milk chocolate, with some light roast coffee, butterscotch, and a bit of peat coming forward. Sweet and malty, with a nice touch of bitterness in the finish. Medium body, smooth, clean, and a little effervescent, which is kinda odd in a stout, but nice. An easy, simple, and well made stout. Lots of chocolate, but not overbearingly so.
