Thanks to bierkoning for that bottle. Also had it as Christoffel Wijᵴzer Dry Hopped Special Edition. Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass dark, nice head. Starts strong-malty, some yeasty notes, modest dry background. FInish well balanced, warming malty, some fruity hints. Quite drinkable. Great beer!

Tasted as Wijᵴzer Dry Hopped Special Edition Thick, rosy-beige head over cloudy chestnut coloured beer. Sweet, very caramelly nose, maltsugars and -syrup abundant, molasses, autumn leaves, Bock-like. More bitterish, much drier than the nose suggests, but again an outspoken autumn leaves flavour, again all as a Dunkler Bock. Wheatcharacter, however, not outspoken. Dry finish. Feels very carbonated, refreshing if served cool enough, but creamy MF. Pretty good. Christoffel beers tend to have that extra that a lot of similar craftbrews seem to miss, without having to resort being ostentatiously spectacular. As German craftbeer...
