Pours dark amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of spiced malt, vaguely skunky. Taste has hoppy malt, odd hops. Taste has resinous malt, pale ale malts. Palate has much of the same. Not bad.

Can at home last of evening. Copper colored and few fingers head. Nose is caramel, and the booth of an English pub. Tastes of dark fruit, caramel, dust, malt, leather. Smooth palate.

Pours a nice clear mahogany from a tap, cream colored head has some lacing. Malty, light wheat toast aroma. Slightly bitter but mostly sweet. Good beer.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt orange to brown color with a solid sustaining finger’s worth of off white foamy head. The head must last for a good minute before gently dissipating and creating some light speckled lace.
The aroma starts off with some sweet to spicy estery fruit flowing upon rich caramel and toffee malts. Some grassy notes. Clean earthy and spicy hops beat feet upon those malts to add a little bit of zing. Sly herbal notes underneath and then a little bit of chocolate.
The flavor balances very nicely between the sweet to spicy to fruity and caramel/toffee blended flow all combining extremely nice and right on into the aftertaste and on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable flow smoothing out on my tongue. The use of the malts in this beer really helped smooth out some of that \"zing\" I smelled in the aroma as it doesn’t let in any cloying features but just really feels absolutely wonderful.
Overall, an English pale ale with a little beef. Feels just a tad heavier than some others of it’s style, perhaps the chocolate in it, but if anything for a medium ABV-ed beer, it’s heartier than expected and definitely could still go with some fish n’chips.

22oz. bottle purchased at Julio’s liquors. Best before 06/06/2013. Color is amber with a thin white head. Nose is the Berkshire house yeast with light caramel malt. The taste was lightly sweet and featured a mixture of caramel and a bit of bitter hops. German or European hops is what it reminds me of. Lighter side of medium in body. Decent brew.

Bottle shared at the Kernel. Bottle seems a bit off kind of sour. Still drinkable it itsd way, but I will need to have again.

bottle, pours a nice ruby amber with a medium light tan head. Aroma is sweet and slightly sour biscuit malt and lots of dry hop character. Flavor is a great balance of bread, rye, and doughy malts, with a nice punch of hops that complement the malt but don’t overpower. The malt character lingers while the hops mildly dry the tongue. Nice beer.

Pours orange. Has that nice malt hoppiness to it that you’d get from a Rogue beer. Rated 2/26/05

Pours an autumnal blood orange into a shaker. Off-white head quickly recedes to sicken surface. Mild caramel aromas. Sweet caramel upfront turning crisp and dry in the lasting citrus finish.
