12 ounce bottle. Opaque black brown color. Frothy tan head. Roasted malt aroma is redolent of roasted coffee. Tangy roasted malt flavor has big coffee notes throughout. Medium bodied. To borrow from Nimbleprop, there is a hint of Charleston Chew on the palate. Lacking the creaminess you would expect of an Oatmeal Stout. Interesting at best.

12oz bottle via trade, the bottle is filled right to the cap. Pours a watery dark brown with plenty of fluffy tan head. Nose has malt, toast, Charleston Chew, some sweetened coffee, a little rootbeer barrel. Flavors of malt and toffee, very old school because the barley is really the star, the coffee is there with some bitterness and body to help off set the maltiness, marzipan, nougat. Finishes medium bodied, just barely off dry. Well made.

Pour is a decent black with a monster tan head. Aroma is pretty much all bitter bakers chocolate with a nice roasted malt. Flavor is more of the same. Bitter bakers chocolate is way up front this a nice roast and char is left on the tongue. NIce stout. Not much of the coffee came out but the base beer is real nice.

Draft, 4 ounce sample glass Growler USA, Omaha. It smelled good; light oatmeal, mild coffee. The problem was that it had a sour note in the finish. Tasted like it was going sour. The good people at Growler USA did not charge me for the sample. I will re-rate if I ever see it again.

Obtained in a 12 oz. bottle. It delivers a dark chocolate brown body with a dark tan head, fairly low carbonation. It definitely smells and tastes of coffee. Burnt oak flavor on the tongue and I also get molasses along with a touch of sweetness. It gets better as you go along. It appears I am spoiled by imperial stouts and my ventures into regulars or oatmeals do not go well. My bottle was labeled as having 5.4% ABV. No hint of it. I think it would be better at the listed 6.5%

Bottle. A- Coffee, chocolate sauce, slightly sweet. A- Black color, dark liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, roasty, cream, slightly sweet, subtle cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly sweet finish. O- Grabbed this bottle with no knowledge of the brewery or beer. I was pleasantly surprised with the liquid inside. A very balanced and tasty coffee beer. Maybe a touch thin on the body, but overall good.
