A dark pinkish blue with a thin purple head. In aroma,, nice blueberry juice witg light malt overtone. In mouth, a sweet blueberry juice with malt but there are some hops here that just dont fit, astringent. The body is light and dry. So-so.

Draft. Pours purple with pink head. Nose of fresh blueberry, blueberry syrup, malt and maple. Taste is same but more malt and less fresh blueberry. Lighter medium body.

Sample at the Mondiale 2005: Poured a weird orangey/brown color ale with a weird foamy head with limited retention. Aroma is solely constituted of pancake blueberry. I’m sure I can smell the flour and the fresh blueberry. Blueberry, white flour and butter also dominate taste. Some sourness in the aftertaste was a bit odd and difficult to explain but was still enjoyable. Overall, this is a very good blueberry beer.

2004 draught at Michigan Brewers Festival. Pours a deep purple/dark blue with some lighter violet tinges and a small beige colored head. Nice and thick. Aroma has very fruity blueberries; sweet and ripe, with a sugary malt note on the backend. Flavor is lightly bitter and pleasingly fruity without being watery and weak. Lots of blueberries, but an equal dose of sweet malt and some bitter hops hold this one together well. Finishes bitter and a bit loose textured, but not watery. Mouthfeel is a touch gritty, seems very similar to a glass of blueberry juice with lots of pulp in it. Not sure of the alcohol content on this one, but it’s not apparent.
