A chocolate milk stout brewed with nibs and lactose. Chocolate Camaro warms with chocolate and roast. The lactose lends ample sweetness without tipping into the realm of candy.

Aromas are a very nice blend of toast, dark malt, molasses, and cocoa. Flavors are similar to nose, again just right balance between bitter, sweet, and tang. Good beer.

16 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a nearly pitch black color with a thick khaki head and excellent retention. Spotty lacing. Dark roasted malt aroma. No chocolate aroma. The taste follows the nose: Dark roasted, almost charred malt flavor with minimal lactose notes. Maybe a hint of dark bitter chocolate, or is that imagined? Not as sweet as I expected. Medium body with a semi-creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Light bitterness. A very good stout, but not much of a milk stout.

Bottle shared at a tasting, 3/30/15. Clear dark brown, thin fizzy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of chocolate, lactose, roasted malt, dark fruits, cocoa. The taste is dark chocolate, dark fruits, cocoa. Thin-medium bodied, lingering tartness.

Bottle. Pours with a black hued body and medium sized tan head with some good retention. Aromas are fudgy, coffee, cola, soil, bready malts and dusty. Flavors are dusty, nutty, fudge and cocoa. Medium to strong sweetness, a touch thinner than I expected. Medium carbonation.

Taster at the Half Acre taproom. Tan beer with a thin ring of foam. Deep choclate smell, kind of carried away by the roasty malt. More roasty stout in the taste. Pretty dry, and seems lighter in alcohol than even the claimed amount.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a smooth bitter chocolate, with beany, light boiled veggies. In mouth, a sweet chocolate, silky smooth, coffee beans, very nice. On tap at Fountainhead, May 21 2011.

Enjoyed on tap at Goose Island Stout Fest 2012 in Chicago, IL. This was one of the more enjoyable stouts that I had throughout the day. App is pitch black, moderate to thick consistency, rich tan head. Aroma of chocolate, bit of lactose, cocoa, decent amount going on with the sweetness but it didn’t smell too much like a candy bar. Taste is very good, bit of peanuts, like Nutella, rich like a peanut butter consistency, very good stuff.
