Svart med høyt brunt skum. Lukter korn, kaffe, vanilje, kakaobønner, sjokolade og trevirke. Fyldig. Kaffe, salt lakris, mørk sjokolade. Sødmen ligger godt i bakgrunnen, mørke frukter og noe kandis. Middels lang.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some hazelnut, followed by a medium roasty-bitter, slightly warming-alcoholic finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

33cl bottle. Sehr dunkel rötlich braune Farbe, mittelgroße bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch bitter röstmalzig, grüne Äpfel. Geschmack mild röstmalzig bitter, grüne Äpfel, Kaffee, bitter röstmalzig.

Bottle at the 2nd Annual Garvie Christmas Tasting. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of light chocolate, tequila, boozy. Lightly soapy. Taste is boozy, chocolate, faint coffee. Bit of a clash.

Roasty bitter flavor with coffee, some chocolate, a bit of tequila, ash, a bit of alcohol, and a fruity note. Medium to full-bodied.
