Beer Geek Breakfast aged in Tequila barrels.
Aroma is a combination of malts, caramel, chocolate and coffee. The body is medium with light coffee and chocolate flavors, wood, slightly spicy and boozy notes from the barrel aging. It has a creamy texture, average carbonation and a bitter edge on the finish.

Buena.

bottle from kihoskh, pitch dark, smooth brown head, pours thick. looks great. Very nice hard roasted malty aroma, hints of wood and tequila, near perfect aroma, even only at 7.5%. Flavor is roasted malts, licorice and salt, likely from the wood, tequila is very faint if any, hops are bitter but play well into the strong roasted malts, so doesn’t taste hoppy. Palate is a little bit more watery than i had expected looking at the pour, but it is quite in range with other similar stength stouts. Unlike many other black mikkeller beers, this one is not at all too sweet, very good stout, even for the money.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 16B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: predominant roasted aroma with coffee-like notes. faint nutty oatmeal aroma. agave aroma imperceptible. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. average moussy Brown head with slight impared persistance derived from alcohol. TASTE: moderate roasted flavour with a slight sweet malty background giving the impression of coffee and cream. medium-low bitterness from hops with an a semi-dry to dry and roasted-bitter finish. PALATE: medium to medium-full body with average carbonation. slight velvety texture and faint alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a very nice oatmeal stout that was aged in tequila barrels wich isnt very perceptible.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a pitch oily looking black with a tiny brown head that dissipates fairly quickly. Upfront aromas of coffee, roasted malt and cacao nibs with some background floral agave and boozy notes. Tastes of charcoal roastiness, burned coffee, soy sauce, cacao nib, tobacco and leather with some light agave on the front of the palate. As it goes down the tequila notes really jump out along with some hot booziness. Not one of the better version of this beer. The flavors don’t really compliment each other very well. Might be better aged longer? Seems a little hot.

Poured into a taster showing pitch black and sparse coffee foam. The nose shows mostly roast malts and coffee with a clear background of agave/tequila/aguardiente. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. The flavors of tequila and roast malts/espresso clash in an extremely inharmonious manner. The roast malt/coffee flavors are shown in the background but the tequila takes the front stage in creating aguardient/tequila almost tropical hop-like bitterness. The tequila/agave flavors are apparently on the finish and the linger. These two flavors profiles are clashing into each other so that neither flavor is fully expressed and instead destroy the balance of each.
