This is one monster of a Brown Ale! We use an obnoxious amount of chocolate malt and roasted barley to give this beer a cast iron backbone. Our oatmeal brown pours a dark mahogany with aromas of dark chocolate and coffee.

12 oz. can from Binny's. Brown beer body under brown foam when I pour. I can watch the foam bubbles slide down along the sides. Nice earthy smell of a Newcastle Brown Ale. Taste starts out like a Newkie, too. A bit of roast, like the lighter version of a stout. The oatmeal creeps up as I go along. Hops are not apparent, just to keep the malt sweetness in line. Slight note of fruit, like a a souring stout. A pretty fun and different brew.

Draft. Deep brown body with a beige head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of roasted malts, molasses, bread, nuts, cocoa and some light metallic. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, water/slick texture, lively carbonation. Sweet to start but dries out in the finish.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered brown-burgundy body. Thin beige head. Quite sweet, the oats really give it a nice body. Solid example of the style, well brewed. Sweet caramel and chocolate...faint vanilla, roasted peanut. Comes together quite well. Good stuff.

12 oz can purchased at Lukas Liquors in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is a dark brown, hazed, with an off white head that was fizzy and falls quick. The aroma is roasted malt, nutty, some softly sweet cracker and the oatmeal that is toasted and clean. The taste is the roast, oatmeal, earthy faint nutty sweet and a gentle mineral in the back. Nice melding of flavors. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation, and a silky finish with the oatmeal. Easy drinking brown, my kind of beer.

Very dark brown, reddish hues, a thin white head. smells like a standard brown ale but with some creamy oak. Really nice mouthfeel, creamy, malty with some english hop bitterness.

12 oz. can From Binny’s Lincoln Park. Standard brown color with thin fizzy head. Aroma is oak flakes and nutty roasted tones, sugar. Smells hearty.
The aroma got me excited. Flavor is good, roasted chestnuts, caramelized sugar /malts and some very faint chocolate. The flavor is good but was hoping that the oats would provide a more robust body. This body is on the lean side. Enjoyable and I finished the can very easily.
