This session mead has been slightly bittered and flavoured with Chinook and Cascade hops. For honey we have used 75% our beautiful light colored Ryan’s Honey, produced mainly from clover, alfalfa and wildflower. The other 25% is carmelized honey which adds a light golden color and body to the finished product.

From a shared can. Weird stuff. Dry for a mead, hops in the aroma and the flavor, which also has lightlyu sweet honey and some flowers.

355 ml can. Pours a pale gold with a moderate head that settles quickly. Aromas of honey, apples, sugary grapes, and a bit of forest floor. Flavors of very dry honey, apples and bittering hops. Bitter acrid finish Aromas great; flavors not so great.

500ml bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of honey, white wine, lemon and floral hops. Sweet flavour of honey, apple, white wine, lemon and floral with a dry, hoppy, bitter grass finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation.

Draught @ The National, Calgary. Pale, sweeteish clover aroma, touch of carbo, vinous but bitter and with alcoholic harshness. Er...not at all on point as a viable drink. Dude.

Bottle - Honey and herbal. Clear gold. Very much like a dry wine, sweet and very flat. Long finish, herbal and booze. Not getting the hops, unless it is that herbal flavour. New recipe - Much better hop aroma, less herbal tastes. Much better, but flavour is still a bit thin.
