This pours a clear yellow gold with a huge head of foam. I notice some floaties in the glass so this probably isn't the freshest of samples. :^(
Very good head retention and lots of lacing but the floaties put me off.
The smell is of sweet and earthy malt and there's some fruitiness, mainly citrus, there as well.
The taste has notes of biscuit and citrus and they compliment each other nicely. Smooth drinking, the mouthfeel is medium until the finish where it becomes a bit watery. The finish itself has a slight lemony flavour that's nice.
Dammit. I was hoping that this would be fresh but I know that when you buy bottles of pretty much anything from the UK, you're taking chances. There's a code imprint on the bottle that says 7 CHI 10:32 but what is *that* supposed to mean??? Why can't brewers come up with a universal, easy to read code so that their customers know what they are getting by simply glancing at the label?? Is that too much to ask??? OK, rant over.
Overall, it's still a nice tasty drop that warrants a revisit. I hope I get luckier the next time...

Bottle from Epsom Circle Market, Epsom, NH. Aroma is a little bit metallic, laundry hamper. Appearance is hazy light gold with mild sparkle and quickly dissipating bubbly white head. Minimal lacing. Taste is lightly bitter and maybe a little sour. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and carbonation level just above flat. Finish is wet but virtually tasteless. Overall, can’t really think of a reason to drink this beer other than it has a cool bottle cap, label and bottle.

*Old rating, best before 30 Sep 11. Smooth and nice blond Ale. Hints of grain, slightly dry with a nice herbal hop characteristic. Fresh and slightly grainy, but round. Nice bitter-herbal ans Ale typical aftertaste. Nice!

500 ml. bottle @ home. Clear golden, light amber, little spiderweb head. Smells sweet and oily, aromatic oil, orange peel zest, touch hoppy and oily herbal hops. Tastes bitter herbal, aromatic oils hops, herbal, lime zest, caramel sugar, lingering herbal bitter, touch sorbet, crystal sugar. Oily bit sticky body. Very basic but very well-done and quite enjoyable. Highly unimposing & went wonderfully with food so this basically sort of a truly great table beer. Far more enjoyable than I expected initially.
