Bouteille 500ml.

Bottle. Grainy malt, spice, and a little fruit aroma. Hazy amber with a small off-white head. Grainy biscuity malt, cherry, grassy hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. This one doesn’t work for me.

Amber colour with an off white head. Rich toffee and fruity aroma. A fine rich flavour with caramel, fruitiness, hopps and fresh citric notes.

This one is outdated by a year (so will grab another new one from the LCBO this week and see the difference). Pours a light golden-amber colour with a creamy-bubbly white head that has good retention and leaves soapy lace. The malt seems still good, with grainy notes, but the hop has gone bad. Still pretty refreshing and easy-drinking session blonde ale.

There’s some tangy malt smell. Head actually has a little retention and there’s some lacing. There’s a little bitter note at the end and a tiny bit of body. Some grain in there. A little sourness at the end. Bottle.

500ml bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a very slightly hazy dark gold with minimal head. Aroma of straw, a little caramel, and just a hint of citrus. Taste is light bitter. Straw, grass and minimal caramel. Light bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a pretty long finish. Overall, I’m not a fan of this beer. It’s possible I’m just not into this style but it just seems like there is something off here.

It’s not quite the blond it is sometimes referred to, it’s not quite much really.

Clear golden with reasonable white head. Distinct hoppy aroma: seaweed, lime, grass. Medium body with good carbonation. Flavour starts with tangy citrus balancing some light biscuity malt. A candy sweetness and some reasonable bitterness develop for a long bitter finish. Overall it’s a fairly good beer although the mix of flavours doesn’t quite fit together.
