Bottle shared by Tom, thanks! Pours a clear amber orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains, light bourbon and a hint of toffee. Flavor has lots of sweet grains with a growing caramel and toffee note supported by bourbon.

Bottle. It is a deep reddish amber. The aroma is sweet caramel and malty bourbon. Med-full bodied with a round zesty feeling. The taste is light bourbon, oak, vanilla, caramel.
2017 The 2nd Time Around. A mahogany brown color with minimal head. The aroma is sweet malts and oaky bourbon. Smooth bodied with a dry finish. The taste is oaky with light bourbon flavor and sweet malts. Good stuff but not pushing any boundaries.

Bottle with thanks to Gikinji! Pours clear reddish amber with a small tan head and some lacing. Aroma is initially bourbon and seven, with notes of caramel and molasses. The seven up fades as the beer breathes. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, toffee, dried fruits. Some woody astringence, which also fades as the beer breathes. Medium body. Lacking some complexity.

650mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a murky dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma of somewhat smoky caramel malts, bourbon barrels, and wood. Flavour is very heavy and woody, full of smoked woody malts, bourbon barrels, loads of caramel, and some vanilla. Quite barrel-dominating, without being too overburdening. The sweetness is high, which cloys a bit after a while. Good stuff, but a little too sweet for me.

Single bomber from Marché Omni (also available from my local Métro). Pours a clean copper colour with a beige soapy head that disappears rather quickly with minimal lace. At first pour, you can smell the typical bourbon scent (cherry, banana) and the wood from the barrels. After a while, dark fruits come out (raisins, dates, plums) with some light burnt caramel and alcohol. Smooth and silky mouthfeel with a medium-to-full body. Banana aftertaste from the Amercian whiskey. Notes of butterscotch, dark fruits, molasses and apples. Thankfully, you can feel the bourbon in this one, but not too much to be overkill. Well-balanced overall and worth trying if you like bourbon... and a wee heavy.

Bouteille 660ml. Premier brassin. Carbonation faible, corps moyen-dense.
