We have brewed on this beer in a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop a of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of vanilla, cocoa, light chocolate, some sweet fruits, some roast. Taste is pretty roasty up front, vanilla, cocoa, coffee beans, dark sweet fruits.

Keg at Craft. But of rum in the nose, but the taste is just roasty and oaty. Bit of sweet vanilla. Nice but maybe a bit too boozy, although I can't taste it. (seems I was smashed)

From bottle @ EBF 2008. Pitch black and opague. Rhum, coffee and cream in the soft and warming aroma. Malty sweet, rather alcoholic flavor with coffee, caramel and hints of rhum. Tasty, satisfyingly balanced brew.
