Sample at Kurtkeller 027: Sante Adairius-tastic 01 on 07/30/2017. Hazy golden color with a medium white head that recedes quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky fruit, yeast and smoked malt. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal yeast, peat malt, smoke and citrus. The finish is smokey and funky with a brett and fruit aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle, just a bit of gush. Pours clear golden, large white head, dissipates slow, good lacing. Aroma is light smoked hardwood, dusty, lemon, mineral water, Brett. Flavor is bone dry, light tart, light smoke, Brett notes present but muted, dusty basement. Light body, high carbonation. Interesting take.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is rather ester forward with quite a bit of stone fruit, pineapple and melon. A moderate grain character with a touch of cracker. A medium light smoked note. Light herbal and grassy phenolics. Medium light citrus notes with a bit of lemon. A bit of a gusher. Pours a hazy, moderately bright, yellow-gold with a large, pillowy, white head that slowly recedes to a quarter inch thick head that lingers. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a fairly dry finish. Moderate grain notes with some light cracker characteristics. Medium bitterness with a light smokiness. Medium light grassy and herbal phenolics. Moderate stone fruit notes with some lighter pineapple and melon. Light lemon citrus notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer and the smoke character is really light which makes it work with the Brett notes rather than clashing. The phenolics from the Brett are low so the smoke kind of takes their place in balancing the fruity esters. I wish it were a bit less dry, but that may have been a factor of aging.
