From Crawford Moran, Owner/Brewer, Dogwood Brewing: "We brewed the first ’trial’ batch late one night to support the GWCB (Georgians for World Class Beer) fund raiser. Mark (Nelson) and Ted (Hull) are two guys that worked very hard to get the (GA’s) 6% cap lifted. So we dubbed it Mark and Ted’s Excellent Adventure." An experiment you may enjoy.

Hazy dark copper color with a thin creamy white head. Sweet caramel aroma, some fruit and hints of oak. Sweet caramel flavor, some more fruit, and some vanilla in the end. Thanks to Crawford Moran for brewing this delight!

Slightly reddish-amber colour. Sugary, slightly fruity aroma with fresh tangerines and sultanas. Chewy, pale malt flavour is rounded and slightly oxidized, but fairly straightforward. Yeah, some fruits, lots of sweet pale malt stuff, and some late nasal-clearing alcohol but it’s all been done before. Still too young, IMO.

Thanks to TheBeerCellar2 for the trade that brought this bottle of the retired Dogwoods brew. Hazy amber ale with almost no head. Caramel malt aroma, Flavor brings foth caramel maltiness and a bit of plummy fruitiness, the alcohol coming through just a little in the aftertaste with a bit of hop bitterness. I don’t know when this was bottled, but too bad Dogwoods is gone, it has become excellent, whatever it’s age.

Thanks to TheBeerCellar2 for this rare specimen - somewhat cloudy burnt red in color - aroma of caramel, cinnamon, black cherry, raisins - oxidation is evident in the aroma as well - flavor of overripe apples, toffee, some almost funky mustiness, a hint of strawberry - some spicy hops come in late, along with nice warming alcohol - very well-crafted.

A clear orange beer with a dense off-white head. The aroma is sweet fruity with strong notes of caramel as well as alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of alcohol, prunes, and over-ripe fruits.
