Il cappello di schiuma color marrone castagno resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. La carbonazione è bassa. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. La costanza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al palato arrivano sentori di miele, cioccolato al latte, liquirizia e frutta secca.

Bottle at home. As Santa Paws. Aroma is malt, caramel, toffee, liquorice, roast, some nuts, hint of spices. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. A bit boring, but drinkable.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel aroma. malty sweetish, caramelly flavor, with soft roasty and honeyish notes. A bit dull perhaps.

29 December 2018. Christmas beer evening; shared with Anke. As Santa Paws, bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, but slowly thinning, frothy, beige head. Aroma of butterscotch, raisin, candied orange & plum, cookie dough, cinnamon, green tea, licorice, toast, chocolate. Taste is medium malty sweet, hint of 'hard' caramel & dough next to candied plum & licorice, giving it a somewhat spicy edge; light herbal bitterness brings green tea, ktichen herbs & nuts. Toasty touch before finishing dryish, herbal hoppy, lingering toast, nuts & caramel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Very drinkable brew, but definitely just a starter for the evening.
