Draft at the brewery, great aroma roasted grains, deep ground earthy coffee and yeast. Flavor is a perfect copy of the aroma. Coffee is earthy, toasty and flavorful. Body is medium with a nice ashy feel. Damn fine.

50cl bottle from the brewery pours a watery, cola brown with some thin, white head. Nose has bright, fresh, delicious smelling coffee beans, some bread crust, toast, a flick of barbecue smoke, a little cocoa bean. Flavor is very well balanced, malty sweetness, some chocolate, a little licorice, bread crust, coffee grounds and then a lingering light smoke at the end. Clean, dry finish. Incredibly drinkable despite the complex flavors.

Bottle at Chriso tasting, thanks Chris, 18/11/12. Dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and leaves a small film atop the glass. Nose is coffee forward, big coffee bean hit, roast malts, espresso coffee. Tastes follows the nose but the flavours are a little thinner. Coffee predominates, toffee, roast malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasted finish.
