On tap! I don’t really know why I am not rating this even higher - maybe because I imagine that some BA versions could be even tastier. Looks as a stout should look like, aroma has cocoa, milk chocolate and some espresso. taste is thick, very milk chocolaty - that means soft bitterness, loads of cocoa and all of that superbly balanced with alcohol. It is warming, alcohol is there, but does not feel like too much. Need to try some other versions of this also!

Draught. Inky black with very small frothy beige head, sharp coffee aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet mocha taste with coconut flavor and alcohol undertones, smooth body long mocha finish. Deliciously satisfying.

0.355l bottle. Pitch black body, thin brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, coffee and caramel. Taste of chocolate, coffee, cream, vanilla, caramel and peppers. Sweet imperial stout without any significant hop character. The pepper is a nice twist in it. Very nice.

12oz (0,355l) bottle at home. There is some writing on the neck that says 21515, which I am not sure if it means bottled. black color, quite small coffee-colored head. smells bitter herbal, coffee grounds, vanilla, green peppers, light chilis, overall not a very pleasant smell for a beer (too much green peppers for me). full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of vanilla, milk chocolate, licorice, some alcohol, green peppers, light chili burn. finishes lightly roasty with notes of licorice and chili burn. hmm, tastes a bit heavy and I am not a fan of vanilla to begin with, overall dont like the combination of green peppers and vanilla. hrm well, i guess not my kind of imp stout.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours black in colour with a beige foam head. Nose of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is molasses, dark malt, coffee & chocolate, sweetish with chilli spice and nutty notes. Oily mouthfeel, full bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasted warming nutty finish. Very drinkable.

Purchased at Liquor Shed in Casper, ~$11.

Pours pitch black, small head of tan foam, some lacing.

Roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, semi sweet chocolate, cocoa nibs...the aromas eminating from my glass are almost overwhelming!

Taste of cocoa nibs and roasted malt way up front. Coffee and vanilla not far behind as is the alcohol. Oooh baby, this is a bad boy. The finish is a bitter sweet thing with lots of warming. I'd be remiss to not mention the heat that the chilies add to the equation. They're responsible for a good heap of the warming going on.

Full bodied with medium carbonation.

I only rated it the last time I drank it. So glad that it's available locally now so I can rectify a wrong. ;)

Combined rating taster pour on tap from Craft Beer Cellar, Clayton (2016) and taster pour from bottle Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival (2019). Aroma is dark fruits, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. Appearance is opaque black with no discernible sparkle, ring of light brown head, fair lacing. Taste is nicely sweet dark fruits, chocolate and coffee, slight alcohol, hint of cinnamon. Palate is medium bodied, with creamy smooth thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this is really fantastic.
