16 ounce can. Pale gold color. Frothy white head. Fresh citrus hop aroma. Crisp lemony malt flavor. Grassy notes along with some breadiness. Thin bodied. Some grapefruit and lime zest in the light dry finish. Very well made and eminently drinkable.

16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 10/7/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an excellent hoppy American blonde ale. All around great omplexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish; not too aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome Centennial/Cascade profile. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a solid pale/wheat malt backbone. Zero residual sweetness from crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. A lot more bitter/hoppy than expected, but no complaints otherwise.

Canned 11/2/18, drunk 11/26/18.
Clear, deep brass-golden, well-carbonated with a small, white head showing modest retention.
Nose is hops. Pine and grapefruit, albeit not resinous seem to be front-and-center here. Some spruce, pepper, lemon; the usual C-hop suspects. But it's definitely tolerable on account of the lack of resin. Malt behind it shows just a touch of barley-like cereal with no sweetness and a clean yeast providing no huge ester nor any bubble gum (it's not a New England Blonde Ale). No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's very nicely attenuated yet soft and malty through the middle, ending on light, crisp grain and plentiful hop bitterness highlighting green apple, pine, grapefruit and lemon. It comes together fairly balanced, though definitely on the bitter and very hop-forward side for a blonde ale. The texture, carbonation, attenuation and general cleanliness/execution of the beer are all top-notch. Just wish the hops weren't just dull grapefruit rind and pine.

16 oz. can from Big Fatty’s thanks to Heather_B. Canned 11-02-18. Kind of transparent orange in color actually. Aroma is mild fruit and cracker malts. Light grass. Flavor is crisp with grass, citrus and light pine. Nice level of carbonation with a refreshing character.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Caramel aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel and citrus upfront turning to pith and resin in the medium length finish.

Bottle shared in NH - many thanks guys! Pours bright yellow with a small, white cream head. Dry orange and lemon citrus in the nose. Outrageously tasty flavor, lots of lovely straw, lime, citra, mellow grass. Light bodied with average carbonation. Delicious. Great balance. Dry grass, lemon, straw to finish. Superb session beer. Excellent from start to finish.

Picked this up at the amazingly great Warren Store in Vermont. Fresh Lawson’s every Friday! Stuck it in the fridge. Enjoyed in a Hill Farmstead Glass at 50 Degrees F. Looks like I’m the first person in 2012 to review this on RateBeer. Awesome!

A - Beautiful light golden color. Hints of orange. Crystal clear in appearance. SRM of 4 maybe 6. Vigorous pour produced a 1 finger head that was just a bit off-white, almost cream color with very tiny bubbles. I really enjoyed pouring this.

S - Very nice scent. Very much a wheat scent almost a very mild bock scent. Excellent hop scent. Cascade certainly dominates the hop profile in scent. Mild lemon scent on the back of my nose.

T - Nice! Very mild malts with a very wheat sort of backbone. I know this isn’t a wheat beer but it has that taste that reminds me of a wheat beer. Of course the Cascade hops are there and Centennial but not in a dominating way.

M - 60/40 carbonation on mouth swish. Medium to light body. Excellent bitter finish that sticks around for a while.

O - It’s been about 3 hours since I had an American Pale Ale as balanced as this and that was Hill Farmstead’s "What is Enlightenment" This beer exudes balance with an excellent mouth feel that blows me out of the water. Great job Lawson’s team!
