500ml bottle split at a tasting. Murky red-brown. Soapy, patchy head. Very odd spiced orange aroma..off? Lots of piny IIPA tastes with some well incorporated spiciness. Brown sugar tones. Lots of resiny hops. Does a great job of incorporating the amber malt flavor. An interesting Xmas beer for sure.

Medium beige head. Hazy reddish brown body. Citric raisiny malty aroma with resiny alcoholic notes. Dry-sweetish citric fruity oily taste with peppery pineapple notes. Hot mouthfeel. Fullish body. Dry-bitter resiny citric tropical fruit aftertaste lingers. Not terribly complex, but good and fairly drinkable. (0.65l bottle, Olympen, Oslo.)

Bottle, 22oz, at RBNAG -09. A hazy, copper-colored beer topped by a beige head. Caramel, tea notes, pinecones, some alcohol, citrus and a touch of pepper in the aroma. The flavor feels quite spiced, guess it’s the hops. Citrus, pinecones, a little alcohol sting and caramel sweetness too. Bitter, spiced finish. Full body. A really wonderful beer. 091107
