Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Crystal-clear amber chestnut with a thick creamy head. Decent condition. Fruity, malty aroma continues into the flavour. There's blood orange, a floral hint, a touch of chilli, some raisins and a bit of toffee. Sweetish, but full-flavoured and well balanced with a decent body. A very more-ish, tasty traditional English brew. Yum, enjoyed this.

Cask @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours clear copper, white head. Aroma is lightly sweet, some honey. Taste is smooth, with a grainy, sweet, lightly bitter character. Some smooth honey / caramel nestled amongst a grainy malt base. S’alright.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 06.12.16. Dark orange. Uneven off-white head. Aroma and taste of dried fruits, apricot, sweet malt and sweet dessert wine. Very good. Low carbonation and round mouthfeel.

Cask at the Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace. Copper coloured pour with a light beige head. Orchard fruit and caramel aroma. Lots more orchard fruit in the flavour ably assisted by some plum jam, red apple, sweet malt and caramel. Nice.

Cask @Kitty’s. Pours mahogany color with a thick white head. Toffeeish, slightly woody, fruity aroma. Harsh hops, floral notes, dark fruits. Edit. Towards the finish of my glass it was a completely different beer, not harsh, merely hoppy with ripe fruits.
