Another beer that proves that people can agree to disagree. Unless its about politics. Then fuck you. Bottle. Pours clear black, medium brown head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is funky, light acetone notes, balsamic vinegar, cherries, roast, bourbon. Flavor is medium tart, medium funk, maple, dark fruits, cherries, bourbon, oak and Brett. Medium body. Quite an interesting beer, which scores points after 7500 rakes.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a black with small beige head. The aroma is strong wood, vanilla, maple, bourbon. Thick mouth, strong booze, soy sauce, light maple, complex, good.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is weird with a bit of an ash and quite a bit of dark fruit, especially prune, plum and fig. Some moderate acidity with moderate roast and chocolate notes. Light bourbon and hints of maple. Pours dark brown with a small, thick, tan head with decent retention. no lacing and moderate legs. Flavor has a moderately strong acidity with some lemon and citrus notes upfront. This gets replaced by lots of dark fruit character, followed by a lot of sweetness and light maple notes. Finishes dry with bourbon and ash character. Moderate roast with light chocolate and caramel. Mouthfeel is odd and starts and finishes medium bodied but with a full bodied presence in the middle. Low carbonation, medium low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a fun and unique beer to try, but an odd beer and certainly not one I would want to drink by myself. The concept was intriguing, but it didnt quite work.
