The name TUSKER™ came about as a memoriam following the death of George Hurst a co-founder of Kenya Breweries Ltd who was killed by an elephant during a hunting expedition in 1922. The brand has since grown to be EABL's flagship brand.

TUSKER is brewed from 100% African ingredients that are all locally sourced; the barley is from the Savannah and the Maasai Mara, the spring water is from the Aberdare Mountains and all the yeast is developed locally which means that you feel closely connected to the brand's origins and roots.

Uit een blijkje op de verjaardag van Rabo! Leuke avond, eten en muziek! Helder geel, prima dorstlesser, een gewoon pilsje.

Bottle, probably thanks to wombat23. Pours gold with a thin, frothy white head. Aroma has the same artificial sweet notes that a lot of pale lagers carry, a sort of glucose syrupy, corny, grassy mess. Uh, I meant mix. Taste is sweet with a light sourness at the end. Body is medium, carbonation average. Not worth finishing the bottle, but it’s a Kenya tick.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is clear golden yellow with tons of sparkle, 2-finger width creamy head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is bready malts and light earthy hops, lightly metallic. Taste is biscuit, metallic with almost a cinnamon flavor. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, nice looking but pretty unspectacular otherwise.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from 'Getränketempel', bottled in April 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, a little grassy taste of grains, cardboard and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy, cardboardy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Far from good.
