750mL bottle, pours a filthy dark mahogany brown with a small tan head. Nose has some butyric, with toasted caramel and bready notes. Flavour is horrendous, with lots of butyric, paint thinner, alcohol, and perfume. This is fucked up in every way conceivable. Undrinkable. Nasty.

Bottle. A- Raisins, rum, butterscotch, boozy, dark fruits, subtle green apple. A- Reddish brown color, hazy liquid, light brown head. T- Booze, burnt caramel, dark fruits. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Lots of booze and dark fruits, mostly raisins. Some butterscotch and caramel intertwined. This is all with almost two years of age. I can’t imagine fresh. This would be a booze bomb.

750 ml bottle from the brewery. Julian date reads 2015. Color is a deep mahogany with ample carbonation. Aroma is mild dark fruit, sugar and nuanced rum
Huge malt bill shows the raisins, dates, prunes. Rum barrel is pretty noticeable with a slight warming heat after the swallow. Belly warming.
I am not normally a fan of rum barrel brews but, this is decent. Well crafted, no flaws but chances are I’m not going to want more.
