Bottle shared in Larchmont - sourced in a trade. Pours black with a small, foamy tan head. Very tasty gear, with a decent amount of dark malt character, light roast and cocoa, plenty of dark berries, mellow acidity, grapes, raisins too. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly acidic on the finish, moderately sweet, with more dark berries, toasted malts, soft funk. Excellent. Great depth.

Bottle @ Steve_0’s HF party. Thanks Stephen! Pours a dark brown appearance with a tan head. Very roasty, caramel, chocolate, whiskey, a bit twangy aroma. Twangy, medium body. Some acid. Burnt caramel, moderate vinegar, cherry, chocolate flavor. Fine but not my favorite.

375 ml bottle with a thanks going to Willrunforbeer on this one! Very oily black color with massive viscosity as it is swirled around the snifter. Aroma is big on oak barrel, a variety of different sour nuances, mild stout character.
The flavor is very much like a blend of sour brews aged in oak. The stout character is VERY mild. Oak tannins, grapes, dark fruits and mild acidic notes. Just Tate’s like a blended concoction of sourness. I was hoping for more of the stout character. Yeah....

Bottle thanks to Seth. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that leaves spotty lacing. The aroma is roast, dark fruit, vinous, wood. Thin mouth, roast, dark fruit, tart, oak tannin, nice sourness, really nice.

375ML Bottle purchased at Hill Farmstead. Thanks Heather for sharing your bottle with me. Enjoyed @ Fridge temp and allowed to warm in 2 stemmed HF Glasses
A - Pitch black, oily and dense with a 1 finger espresso head that faded quickly.
S - Smells tart, grape must, lemon, funk, leather and ropey. I smells some of the base components. Charcoal, cocoa, fudge.
T - Good actually. You get a lot of dark porters, roasted espresso, chocolate, with some light balsamic, orange peel, lime and funk.
M - decent mouthfeel. not explosive on the carb, finish is light with a lingering hop bitterness, cheese and cocoa
O - I like this a lot more than I expected. The description reads to me "a bunch of our porters and a brown ale in a wine barrel with wild yeast" but honestly this came together really nice. I’d drink this one fresh and not hold on to it. It’s perfect now.
