In 1998, Hugues Dubuisson introduced a new Bush aimed at lovers of blonde beer. The launch commemorated the 65th anniversary of the Bush Caractère, introduced to the market all those years ago by his grandfather, Alfred.

And thus the Bush Triple was born. This filtered, top-fermented beer fits into the ranks alongside the Bush Caractère and the Bush de Noël. The Bush Triple is the fruit of the same expertise and the same house yeast. However, this blonde has her own unique personality.

The use of traditional malt varieties and the well-known Saaz hops gives the beer its clear blonde colour. We see the development of a subtle, but at the same time very well- balanced, palette of aromas and tastes. The lengthy fermentation process increases the alcohol volume to 10.5%, but at the same time produces a beer that is very easy to digest.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear deep golden (with some floaties), white head. Aroma of sweet sugary fruit or fruit liqueur, with some alcohol. The taste is sweet - simple sugary/malty sweetness with notes of fruit liqueur. Big warming alcohol, quite clean for its strength. Light bitter finish. Not bad, but too simple for its strength, that does not seem to worth it.

0,33L bottle (from beerExpress, Tallinn). Pours golden with whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, sugar, fruits, spices. Flavor is sweet, fruits, citrus, spices, and malt. Finish is dry-peppery bitter with alcohol. Overall: ok, feels too boozy and not really well balanced.

33 cl bottle @ Delirium Cafe, Brussels
Aroma has sweet apricot, alcohol, grain and mild grassy tones. Also cereal. Flavour has cereal, apricot, alcohol and some mild menthol notes. Too much alcohol comes through, clearly this is a Bush.

Amarilla turbia, dos dedos de espuma. Aroma no marcado, algo citrico. En boca cuerpo y carbonatacion medios. Primer gusto bastante frutal (melocoton) luego sale la efervescencia en la lengua y finalmente un fuerte amargor progresivo, muy acentuado al final y duradero mostrandose ademas la potencia del alcohol.

April 11th 2015: tasting@Svijet piva, Zagreb. 0.33 bottle shared with Dami, Habek and Radoš. Hazy dark yellow, firm off-white creamy head. Fruity aroma, dried fruits, citrus and candy. Bitter at first, then a strong alcohol kick which fades rather quickly. Alcohol remains in the finish, lack off body. Pretty good.

Thanks Pornoguru for sharing this one! Why was I sure I’ve rated the Bush beers? No idea. But here they are, so yay! Hazy golden body with a small white head. Malty, light aroma, banana, somewhat herbal. Fizzy taste, carbonation bite, vinuous, somewhat malty. Not bad, but hardly thrilling. Alcohol well hidden though.

Clear blond to light orange beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adheisve. Aroma: very malty, grains, some grass, yeasty touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet sugary start, overripe banana, alcohol, something off, sourish touch. Aftertaste: definitely something off, banana, little sour, citrus.
