The Saison has its origins in the classic farmhouses of Belgium and France where the natural, wild yeast blow in from the fields to create complex and refreshing springtime ales. Our Saison utilizes an ancestor of these wild yeasts to create a beer layered with spicy phenols and just a hint of fruity esters. The beer is dry and crisp and when bottle conditioned offers a champagne like mouth feel from the natural bottle fermentation process. The name Nuance is a nod to its subtle complexity and tendency to unlock new flavors with each sip.

A lightly hazed golden saison with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with smooth banana esters, cloves, light mineral notes, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity banana malt with light fruity esters, light cloves, grassy hops, light mineral notes, oily mouth feel, very nice. On tap at brewery.

Pours slightly hazy golden color with big white head. Aromas of grass, dough, and spices. Doughy and grassy flavor with biscuit, coriander, a touch of spices and some fruit. Light to medium body with lively carbonation.

Bottle. Hazy pale Amber, medium off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is grass, pepper, honey. Flavor follows, a bit sweet, herbal, pepper and grass. Medium body. Fairly standard Saison. A bit sweet, perhaps.
