Tap at Irreale. Black, brown lace. Grassy, citric, light earthy hop nose. Dark roast and deep herbal notes. Muddled tropical aftertaste, kelp on the palate. Clay and perfumed pine aftertaste. A bit too sticky.

Bottle at home from cotteridge wines. Arom is realy big bold sweet, sharp lemon rind and piney hops. There is also some fruit salad, mineral and some slight roast. Clearish dark caramel red pour with a steadfast dense light cream head. Flavour is sweet toffee, berry hop, pine. The finish is ashy roast and big piney clean aggressive bitterness. Some slight soapyness. Fine tingling carbonation dryish fiinish. The bitterness is a bit too much for me.

Bottled 33cl. Dark brown-ruby color, good creamy brownish head. Aroma of fruity American hops, citrus, resin and "fermentation gases". Medium-bodied. Front and aftertaste have nice salted licorice then resiny, grapefruity bitterness. Quite hoppy with long lingering aftertaste. Classy black IPA.

Keg @ Hanging Bat [150713]
Dark brown, hazy, bubbly white head that dissipates
Nose of gtapefruit, soft floral undertones, some pine, mellow dark caramel malts underneath, soft dark malts, good citrus fruity hops
Taste of bitter citrus hops, grapefruit pith, sharp citrus, dark caramel malts background, plenty of hops in this
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bitter fruity tangy zesty grapefruit finish with soft dark roast malt finish, bitter bit dry slightly salty linger. Palate is a little rough
Overall - Decent BIPA, perhaps the palate just needs to be smoother

33cl bottle. Poured dark dark brown with a dense, huge white head. Aroma has loads of tropical fruitiness, floral hoppy. Very inviting. Roasted malt more in the back. Flavor has roastedness, grapefruit, salt and chocolate notes.Heavy bitter, dry finish. This is a black IPA for sure, good balance, very tasty.
