Tuborg Fine Festival is a strong pilsner, originally produced for the English market to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. It was introduced to Denmark in 1955 where it lives a quiet, but distinguished life as a luxury beer for connoisseurs. The taste unfolds nicely and distinctive and is more dominated by alcohol than by sweetness. The scent is marked by cereal with hints of licorice and grape fruit. When poured in a glass, the color appears light golden and amber with a white foam.

Palate: Medium (+) body. Slight sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Deep malty, some alcohol and a bit fruity. Some alcohol.
Overall impression: Better than feared. Not to sweet and not to much alcohol coming up. Keep it cold..

Can. Pours clear golden with quickly vanishing white head. Clear aroma of yeast with hoppy and boozy touches to it. Sweetish, malty flavour with notes of hops and a good deal of yeast. Overwhelming boozy notes. Caramel and alcohol in the finish. I hated the beer ten years ago when I tasted it for the first time. I still do. Things must be truly rotten in the state of Denmark, as this goddamn piss of a wino’s paradise lost keeps being sold. Headache guaranteed.

Can from 7/11 Copenhagen - Pours gold with a thin white head. Very sweet malt, slight grassy, ruined by a strong metallic taste. Not a fan of this.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, toasted - caramel, pale malt, malt, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, marzipan malt, light metalic hops. Catch up rating from notes, 2012: 33 cl Bottle picked up at a German market.Pours out a medium golden, clear, foamy head that disappears. Aroma has some elements of cheese, piquant, grassy. Sweet malts take over in the taste, more of the funky barnyard elements linger on the palate. High octane for a Euro lager.
