Tuborg Fine Festival is a strong pilsner, originally produced for the English market to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. It was introduced to Denmark in 1955 where it lives a quiet, but distinguished life as a luxury beer for connoisseurs. The taste unfolds nicely and distinctive and is more dominated by alcohol than by sweetness. The scent is marked by cereal with hints of licorice and grape fruit. When poured in a glass, the color appears light golden and amber with a white foam.

Purchased from 7/11 in Copenhagen. Clear gold beer. Dry acrid saccharine sweet lager with a nasty metallic note. Pretty grim!

Beer No. 96 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Bottled 330ml. -from the bottle on ferry between Gedser and Rostock. Classic strong Danish brew. Sweet malty, quite alcoholic and low on everything else.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head quickly recedes to nothing. Malty adjunct aromas. Crisp with sour caramel and a hot malt finish.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Clear golden with a fast disappearing white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and a little alcohol. Flavor is very sugary sweet and light bitter. Finish is sweet and light alcohol. Sticky mouthfeel from the syrup. 130211

Bottle, drunk appropriately on the steps of the Courthouse at Nytorv, next to some idiotical(ly drunk) punks. Golden body. Empty nose, maybe light alcohol. Empty(ish) taste of grain and rice crackers. Again not much alcohol, which is a plus. A remarkably non terrible hi-octane macro pale lager.

Bottled (BB 05/2010)
Golden color, small white head. Grassy hemp and plastic malty mix in the nose. Sweet, rubbery, herbal, alcoholic flavor. Quite terrible "fine festival" beer.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grains, rubber, alcohol, and some slight malty and maizeish notes. Flavour is quite much the same. This is actually quite much horror.
