This full-flavor winter bock has a sweet, powerful and warming character thanks to its combination of malt, caramel and a hint of star anise. The beer has a full-bodied, velvety taste and a lovely long finish.

Bottle shared from Deanso. Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma of massive licorice, caramel and some dark fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle from abcbeers shared with kermis. Thick off white head. Clear deep amber pour. Lots of liquorice. Nice brew.

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2012. Slightly hazy amber color, small off-white to beige head. Smell sweetness, malts, alcohol. Taste malts, sweet, dried fruits, grape-peel. Low to medium carbo and body.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Dark brown colour, off white head. Aroma of sweet malts, dark fruits, light cinnamon. Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, cinnamon, caramel, bittersweet malty finish with some spice. Medium to fullbodied. Nice strong ale. The vuur (fire) is most probably the alcohol.
