American Sour Ale brewed with mango and cherry

A shload of souring bacteria is added alongside a bananas amount of mango and cherry (but not any bananas) to Critterless for just long enough to fill this brew up with some superfluous sour notes, leaving you with a very pink, very potent, very puckering fruit beer that is a real slap in the kisser. Got the bug?

Bottle. A- Cherries, tart. A- Dark red color, dark liquid, no head. T- Tart, sour, cherry juice. P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, tangy finish. O- Tart, tangy, sour, whatever you call it, it's here. I don't get any mango but the cherry is very much in plain sight. Not too bad just want more of the mango.

Bottle. Ruddy, deep orange-brown body, thin dissipating beige head. Grassy nose, with tart grape and berries, somewhat sweet too, with hints of alcohol. Potently tart body with berries and grapes, fruit skin, and sweet pulpiness. Boozy and sharply carbonated.

Sampled from the tap at Gravity. Pours a clear red with a near white head that dissipates to edges. Aroma has a good amount of tart red fruits with a light grain and a hint of rhubarb. Flavor has a good amount of tart rhubarb with light acid and a hint of dryness.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/18/2016. Pours slightly hazy bright ruby red/light pinkish/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tart/sour cherry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, lemon, raisin, green apple, mango, hay, straw, wheat, rye bread, light lacto funk/vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, cherry/mango, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour cherry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, lemon, raisin, green apple, mango, hay, straw, wheat, rye bread, light lacto funk/vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic sourness; with light rye spiciness and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of sour cherry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, lemon, raisin, green apple, mango, hay, straw, wheat, rye bread, light lacto funk/vinegar, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherry/mango, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/sourness balance; lightly puckering but not astringent after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from sourness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 8.6%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherry/mango, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the moderate acidity. Big on cherries and lighter on mangoes; nice malty backbone without being too sweet. A really enjoyable offering.

12 oz. bottle shared by Willrunforbeer. Nice violet / red color. Aroma is mild cherry, raspberry, lemon juice. The flavor is really similar to a Berliner Weisse. Good tartness, bone dry texture.

Mild lemon juice, some mild yogurt hints, weak Berry with a nice tartness. Light and crisp as it should be. Nice mid-tasting palate break!!
