Bottle. Cloudy yellow/orange. Huge head. Aroma of lemons, vanilla or wood and yeast. Taste is wheats, lemons, bitter oranges, yeast and sugar. I expected the oak to more prominent. Finish is bitter, sweet and alcoholic. Strong carbonation. It’s alright but Duvel is more balanced.

Golden color, creamy white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma has notes of Belgian yeast, bread and sweet malts. Flavor is light sweet, yeasty, notes of marzipan with a mild presence of alcohol. High carbonation on palate with sweet mouthfeel.

Alcohol bien disimulado.

Rerate of this newish Tripel by Palm. Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, frothy, off-white head; little lacing. The aroma contains apple, soap, spices, bready malt, honey, faint banana, also a weird hint of mint (chlorophyll). It tastes medium to heavy malty sweet, hints of bread & apple, and light spicy bitter, a bit yeasty & phenolic. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, spicy, with lingering bread & vanilla. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Actually not bad, but not overwhelming anymore to the advanced beer seeker. (Edited 13/7/18)

Weinig nasmaak.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy golden, huge soapy head. Smells like stale lager - dull fruity and slightly cidery, some mineral notes. The taste is sugary sweet with light fruity notes and a good deal of warming alcohol. Some oaky tannins in the finish. This is beer is half way between a Belgian golden and a strong lager.
