Hazy, light amber. On the nose, this has a woody note, some bretty stuff, sweet, sticky. Moderate tartness. Some raspberry, gooseberry sort of notes.

Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours a near clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a funky tart fruit note with a bit of a dryness and some light grains underlying. Flavor has the barrels come through more and support the funky tart fruits.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is somewhat acidic with some light citrus notes. Moderate pineapple, mango and apricot with some guava and peach. Light white wine notes and tannins with a light oak presence. Medium light herbal phenolic notes. Pours a hazy, dark, golden orange with a medium large, rocky, light tan head that recedes somewhat quickly. Light lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is fairly acidic with some pineapple juice and light citrus. Lighter notes of under ripe tropical fruit and apricot skins. Light herbal phenolic notes. Medium light oak notes with a bit of white wine and tannins. A light sweetness in the finish helps round out the upfront acidity. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, this is a pretty tasty de Garde beer. I’m not usually a fan of high alcohol sours, but this one works well. Nice tropical fruit notes, good barrel qualities, a nice sweetness and acidity isn’t too sharp.

On tap at DG. Pours a somewhat clear copper color with a medium white head. A really nice big woody, sweet white wine and gin nose. The flavor is a battle between super sweet complex barrels and sour fresh sawdust and lemon notes. Huge sweetness in the barrel, I get the whiskey as well as big vinous notes. Awesome.

On tap at De Garde, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out oak, wood, nice piney hops and lightly tart fruits. Flavour is complex, with lots woody oak, some piney hops, and light tartness. Acidity is fairly high, but not too teeth and stomach disrupting. Excellent stuff.
