500 ml. can. BBF 02/2017. Almost clear dark red amber, disappearing off-white head. Nose is metallic overly sweet herbal, cough syrup, industrial caramel, a dash of mineral sparkling water. Taste is metallic, touch watery, cough syrup, caramel, light fish guts, light dark bread, leaves, sparkling water. Body is metallic, syrup, bit oily, a bit thin. Boring, industrial but okay overall. Nothing terrible & drinks okay if you ignore some minor aspects like leaves & iron. More agreeable than expected.

Dunkel süßer Antrunk, mild. Etwas getreidig, leicht herb bleibend. Die Würzigkeit könnte deutlich intensiver sein, etwas monoton. 9/9/8/8/11/8

Nice caramel aroma. Initially there’s a rough bitterness. Some dark malts. Feels unrefined and is a shadow of the old ’Hooghe Bock’.

Bottle @ granddad’s birthday. Dark brown colour with a small to medium sized beige head. Smells sweet, dark malts, slightly raisins. Tastes sweet, dark malts, brown sugar, liquorice. Medium body, soft carbo.

Piana gęsta, w kolorze niemal żółtawa, szybko opada pozostawiając delikatną koronkę. W aromacie można znaleźć śliwki, wiśnie, karmel, bardzo przyjemny.
W smaku oprócz wcześniej wspomnianych śliwek, wiśni i karmelu pojawia się jeszcze kawa z intensywną goryczką - niesamowicie przyjemna.
Stopniowo w czasie degustacji wiśnie i śliwki ustępują kawie, a goryczka wydaje się być bardziej intensywna. Po ogrzaniu i w aromacie daje się wyczuć kawa.
Bardzo fajne, łatwe piwo, nie ściąga, po prostu przyjemne, jest tylko jeden mały minus, mam wrażenie, że lekko wodniste, ale to może tylko moje wrażenie.

Zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter en rokerig, niet te zoet, met sporen van caramel, koffie en bittere chokolade. Blijft redelijk lang hangen. Al met al een geslaagd bier.

Bottles shared thanks to mrhangover. Pours clear dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, sweet overripe fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Ruby color, small head. Artificial irony aroma. Thin body. Flat taste of caramel and malt. Label may look nice and authentic, but the beer is uninspired and artificial.

Rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch schokoladig, Karamell, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, Karamell, etwas klebrig, gut!
